Three falcon chicks recently hatched in the nesting box at Blount Generating Station. The first made its debut on the morning of May 9.
The second chick arrived a few hours later, and the third hatched late that night. A fourth egg remains unhatched and is likely infertile. While unfortunate, the hatch rate over the past 35 years for Wisconsin's peregrine falcons is about 75%, so this is a normal result.
Watch the new chicks grow and see Trudy and Melvin tirelessly care for the little ones on our livestream falcon cam.
