Keeping the community warm 

MGE employees collected winter coats, hats, gloves and other winter items to support the Community Action Coalition for South Central Wisconsin’s Winter Glow 2022 – Stop the Shiver campaign. The Community Action Coalition donated the winter items to those in need throughout the community.

Thanksgiving Basket Drive

Every holiday season, families across the Madison area struggle to make a warm, welcoming holiday dinner. The Goodman Community Center organizes an annual Thanksgiving Basket Drive, providing thousands of families in Dane County with everything they need to prepare a Thanksgiving meal at home. 

MGE employees supported the drive by collecting and delivering more than 4,300 items, including canned vegetables and fruit, gravy, stuffing and aluminum roaster pans. Some employees also volunteered their time to help sort, pack and distribute the Thanksgiving Baskets.
